About this opportunity:
Empowered to Work is a joint project of JRS and House of Welcome. The project empowers people seeking asylum to become job ready through a 7 stage workshop schedule which delivers necessary knowledge and skills to assist people as they prepare to enter the Australian workplace.
This role requires volunteers who can facilitate 2 hour workshops, weekly or fortnightly (content and resources provided) around one or more of the 7 project stages. There are several positions to be filled.
Up to 10 people per workshop.
- Setting up the workshop room
- Welcoming people
- Delivering the workshop
- Providing support for people as they work through workshop material and activities
- Packing up the room
A Working with Children Check is required.
About this organisation:

Workshop training will be provided by the Employment Coordinator.
